In the quiet of a broken heart's beat,
Where once limerence made life feel complete,
A fire once faded, reignites from above,
Testing the waters of what we call love.
We wandered apart, on paths not yet known,
Growing through moments we faced all alone.
Yet here you stand, with familiar eyes,
A past we remember, now free of disguise.
Was it limerence, fleeting and wild?
Or the kind of love that grows soft and mild?
Now we are wiser, with pieces to mend,
We take the leap, try again as friends.
For love is not static, nor bound by a start,
It bends and it breaks but can heal every part.
So here we go, with our hearts open wide,
From limerence to love, let's give us a ride.
