The little mermaid: Doengbaekseom [동백섬]

She sits alone

Perched upon the cliff face,

close to some poetry carved in Rock.

The moonlight glistens on her

topaz skin, as she gazes out at sea

—missing home.

Her love is here. But so

is suffering and loneliness.

Can she ever find a bridge?
